Interested in volunteering abroad? NGOabroad is currently recruiting volunteers to work in Africa and South America. Available positions include:

The Sacred Valley, Peru

Work in a local clinic which serves both town and surrounding remote villages. Both midwives & ob/gyns are welcome. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Quechua are helpful. Tutoring in both languages available.

Gulu, Uganda

Work in a pediatric clinic to help prevent the transmission of AIDS to infants. Midwives are needed to teach Mother and Child Wellness. Help is also needed with reproductive education & family planning.

Cameroon, Sierra Leone

Teach Traditional Birth Attendants to monitor mothers in trouble during labor & delivery so they can get to a clinic or hospital in time for a safe delivery. Help is also needed for Well Mother/Well Baby consultations.

These are volunteer positions. Applications accepted on a rolling basis. No end date.
