In light of Canada's announcement of the Muskoka Initiative for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health at the 2010 G8 Summit, the SOGC has developed a reference document outlining key strategies for the reduction of maternal, newborn and child mortality and highlighting the role of professional health associations.
