UNICEF Helps Train Midwives to Improve Maternal and Newborn Care in Indonesia

UNICEF

Ensuring that birth attendants are properly trained can go a long way towards improving maternal and newborn mortality rates. In Indonesia, UNICEF is working to train midwives and provide better support to local health centres to ensure that mothers have access to care during and after pregnancy and labour.

Visit www.unicef.org for more information about UNICEF's work to promote safe motherhood.
